Seth Moody, the frontman for Aboveground, is one of the most talented and skilled vocalists and musicians in Western North Carolina. With a powerful soul voice with vocal cords that are tied directly to the hearts strings, Seth is able to draw the exact intended emotion from each lyric. He is a proficient guitarist known for his intense nostalgic riff writing and melodic soulful soloing.

Jacan Ward

Jacan is gonna turn your head. Either with his insane chops or his explosive drumming power, he is bound to catch he your attention. Since Aboveground’s inception, Jacan has been instrumental in creating the grooves and heavy vibes that Aboveground is known for. Jacan as a professional AVL production manager and worship leader has taken on many production side roles for the band. As a visionary, he helps push the dreams Aboveground is built on forward.

Though he is one of the newest members of Aboveground, he is a seasoned member of the metal community. Touring and recording with bands like Enthean and Olkoth, Alex is an extremely skilled technical metal bass monster!!! Also, an all around swell guy!

There are rare cases where you come across the artistic musical talent of folks like Wes Coatney. A musical mind that has amassed a skillset in instruments, genres and songwriting that makes him surely to be one of the greatest artists to come from Western North Carolina. While he may be our youngest team mate, he fits into the team like a needle in a groove!
